The City of Flippin started construction and improvements to its Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Flippin. The project is being funded though grants and loans from the Arkansas Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund Program. The program is being administered by Arkansas Natural Resources Commission with joint funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Arkansas. This project will be a complete rehab of the facility using old and new infrastructure to bring the plant into compliance with the Arkansas Department of Water Quality. This project will provide water quality benefits downstream to residents, businesses and the White River Watershed. To start new water service:
Meter deposit: Please visit or call City Hall to begin the process. Deposit fee is $100.00 cash, check or money order only. No online payments for meter deposits.
You will need your drivers license, Social Security number, and telephone number to begin service.
Water bills are due on the 10th of each month.

City Wide Cleanup Days are in the Spring & Fall. During these dates, large items will be collected with no additional fees through the regular trash service within city limits. Announcements on dates and acceptable item lists will be posted on this site and on the City's Facebook page.
Marion County Transfer Station & Recycling Center:
The Transfer Station website lists cost of disposal of household trash, larger items, and sorted construction debris. There is also an extensive list of free items to recycle! We encourage you to take advantage of this service to help Flippin and Marion County stay clean and safe.

Pet Registration:
Pets must be registered with the city if you live inside the city limits.
Fees are $10 for non-spayed or neutered and $5 for spayed or neutered.
You must provide current copy of rabies vaccination.
You may only have a combination of 3 dogs/cats and no more than 6 poultry inside the city limits.
Business Occupation License Fee:
Business Occupation License is required for operating a business or service within Flippin city limits. Please visit City Hall to apply for your License, pay and receive a copy of your license annually. Business Occupation Licenses are good for the calendar year. Please renew in January.

Fishing & Hunting Licenses:
Such licenses are regulated by the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. They can be purchased online via the AGFC website: https://www.agfc.com/en/resources/licensing/ Fishing license can be purchased at Walmart in Flippin as well as some fishing resorts and tackle shops.
Property Taxes:
Flippin real estate and personal property taxes are billed and collected by Marion County. The bills are sent out the first of February and are due and payable October 10.
Sales Tax:
The sales tax rate (combined state, county and city sales tax rates) is 9.25%. The City of Flippin currently has a 1% sales tax rate.
Electrical Permits:
An electrical permit shall be required at such time as a temporary pole is issued. The permit fee is $45 for new electrical construction or upgrade. (To add a circuit or change out a box, plus $2 per circuit.)

Traffic related court fines can be paid in person at City Hall, by mail or online.

The County also has business services and requirements. The Marion County Assessors Office assesses each business within the County annually. Arkansas law requires all business owners to assess all personal property used in the course of that business. Assessments are sent out annually in January and due back to the Assessor by May 31st. New businesses should visit the Assessor's Office for their initial form or click - HERE. The Marion County Clerk's Office will help you register your "Doing Business As" name, if necessary.

Growing Community Together!
We welcome small farmers, backyard gardeners and local artisans to our market. Come for a taste of community life in our small town. There is something for everyone at the Flippin Farmers Market!
Flippin is involved in the Tri-City Youth Baseball/Softball League in Marion County allowing girls and boys of all ages to participate.
In addition to players, coaches, referees and sponsors are also needed.
We will notify the public during sign-up season. Be on the lookout for announcements each spring.
